LIVE BLOG: 'March for Our Lives' in Phoenix

The Capitol building was the point of gathering for thousands of people during Saturday's "March for Our Lives" in Phoenix.

PHOENIX - Thousands of people gathered in Phoenix to march in the "March for Our Lives" protests, which swept across the country Saturday.

Washington D.C. served as ground zero for the students protesting about gun violence after the shooting at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School in Florida in February.

Celebrities joined in on the protests in DC as hundreds of thousands gathered to protest gun violence.

And while a group of people represented Arizona in D.C., thousands more back home in Phoenix marched from the Capitol building.

According to the Arizona Department of Public Safety, the Phoenix crowd was estimated to be about 15,000 people.

DPS said there were no incidents or arrests.

12:05 p.m.

Signs read "Enough," "Protect kids not guns," and "Give teachers raises not guns," as protestors marched against gun violence in Phoenix.

People by the thousands began marching in downtown Phoenix for #MarchForOurLivesPhx. The crowd of people with signs stretched across most of the roadway.

Thousands now gathered at the Capitol with more still arriving.

A pro-Trump supported was spotted carrying a rifle at the Capitol.

A large amount of people gathered at the Capitol chanting "Protect kids not guns!"
