Starting in May, the Flagstaff Pulliam Airport will have a new destination for American Airlines passengers.
The airport and American are offering a new nonstop flight to Los Angeles. The first flight will take off on May 12, according to a release.
Airport officials said the flight, which will only fly on Saturdays, is a "seasonal addition" as the airline decides if the "Flagstaff market will support additional service."
According to a release, the flight departs LAX at 2 p.m., arrives in Flagstaff at 3:30 p.m. and leaves again at 4 p.m. It will reach its final destination in LA at 5:43 p.m.
“For this route to be successful," Barney Helmick, airport director, said in a release, "we are asking our local community and visitors to book this flight. We realize that the options are limited, but when this flight shows results other flights will more than likely be added.”
