PHOENIX - The Department of Economic Security is touting its Deadbeat Parent Initiative a success after nearly two years of working to track down moms and dads with outstanding child support payments.

A page on the department's website holds dozens of photos of men and women officials are working to find. In total, the department says it's posted 252 photos, some of which are posted on Twitter with the hashtag #deadbeat.

So far this year, the department has collected $250, 588.97 in evader payments, and in total, has collected $455, 707.92. Ninety-six parents have been located in two years.

Progress has been made, but the department also reports more than 142,000 owe $1.72 billion in unpaid child support.

Members of the public who have information on the whereabouts of an evader should contact the Division of Child Support Services (DCSS) as soon as possible with detailed information by emailing or completing the form on Gov.Ducey’s website.
