Sam's Club stores locations across the country are closing, including at least four, it appears, in Arizona.

The stores closing in Arizona include ones in Scottsdale, Chandler, Casa Grande and Prescott.

12 News reached out to the four stores which no longer appear on the Sam's Club store locator.

Scottsdale - 15255 N Northsight Boulevard

Per security guard who answered phone: Store is closed for business today, re-opening tomorrow, but location will close entirely on Jan. 26.

Chandler - 1375 S Arizona Avenue

Closed today, re-opening tomorrow, through Jan. 26 - signs are up with info at this location.

Casa Grande - 2425 E Florence Boulevard

Closed today. A woman who answered the phone said she "can't comment." Recording says they will be open tomorrow like the others. Casa Grande newspaper confirmed the store will close.

Prescott - 5757 E. SR-69

Closed today, will re-open tomorrow, closing indefinitely Jan. 26.

The Arizona stores join numerous others across the country including ones in Houston, San Antonio, and Virginia.

On Twitter, Sam's Club issued a statement that the decision was made to permanently close a series of locations:

The news comes the same day Sam's parent company, Walmart, announced raises for some store employees.
