TEMPE, Ariz. - Legos, who doesn't like Legos? In the modern era Legos are movies and an amusement park in Southern California. Now the iconic brand has landed in Tempe.
Legoland Discovery Center officially opened its eighth location at the Arizona Mills Mall.
“It’s great for kids 3 to 10. It’s about a two to three hour experience,” said Danielle Pakradooni, head of marketing and sales for Legoland Discovery Center of Arizona.
There are two rides: a miniland filled with Lego buildings and scenes showing off Arizona landmarks.
“We have University of Phoenix Stadium. We have downtown Tempe, Downtown Phoenix. So there is a lot of great areas you can see in here,” said Pakradooni.
It took a million Lego bricks and six months to put the mini metropolis together.
There a plenty of stations where visitors can interact or build their own creations.
The Legoland Discovery Center is open seven days a week. They encourage visitors to book in advance online at legolanddiscoverycenter.com.
