All of the stolen handguns were recovered after a Chandler store was burglarized Monday. New video shows how the burglary happened.
Police say 32-year-old Miguel Gomez and 26-year-old Alicia Gonzalez drove a stolen truck through the front door of a supply store at Queen Creek and Alma School roads.
Surveillance video shows a truck smashing through the store and the suspects taking guns from display cases, police say.
The pair smashed display cases and tried driving the truck back out of the store with 21 stolen handguns, police say.
The video shows the truck trying to reverse through the smashed opening, but getting stuck on shopping carts.
Gomez and Gonzales fled on foot and met up with a woman driving a truck as police arrived at the store, police say.
Police pursued the truck and eventually arrested the suspects, police say.
Twelve of the 21 guns were recovered at the time of the arrest. With the help of the ATF, the other guns were recovered around the Gila River Indian Community, according to police.
