The Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office arrested two men and took two pounds of heroin off the streets in a drug bust this week.

According to court paperwork, MCSO used an informant to set up the deal Wednesday night. When the informant arrived for the deal at 75th Ave and Thomas, deputies busted the exchange and took two people, identified as Daniel Valdez and Alain Paz-Valdez, into custody.

Court records say deputies found two pounds of heroin along with large quantities of Fentanyl pills, meth and marijuana in the bust. A pistol was also found under the driver’s seat of the car.

After the arrest Valdez told police that he got the drugs and guns from his father-in law Alain Paz-Valdez. Paz-Valdez also told police they were there to sell the drugs.

Both men have been booked into jail on multiple drug possession and intent to sell charges.
