Authorities in northern Arizona arrested two men over the weekend for attempting to buy child prostitutes.

Christopher Toney, 37, faces a felony count of engaging in child prostitution after he offered a pure-bred pit bull puppy for payment for a sex act. The person he offered the puppy to was a law enforcement officer, not a 16-year-old girl as he thought.

The Yavapai County Sheriff's Office said in a release Monday that Toney, a Colorado resident, brought the puppy to the hotel room where he agreed to meet the "teen". He was arrested there.

YCSO worked with Prescott, Prescott Valley and Flagstaff police, along with the Navajo County Sheriff's Office, the FBI and the Department of Homeland Security on the sting to curb human trafficking.

Toney is in custody on a $2,500 bond.

Buchanan Bleeker, 18, was also arrested in the sting. He faces an additional count of criminal impersonation after he gave a false name to arresting officers. Bleeker was released on a promise to appear in court.
