CASA GRANDE, Ariz. - Four people were shot to death Thursday morning in Casa Grande and a suspect is in custody, police said.

A police spokesman said officers were already in the area when residents called 911 to report gunshots. The officers saw people running away from a duplex, the spokesman said.

Officers found one person dead in the doorway to the unit, three more dead inside. Investigators said they located a suspect a few blocks away, running through the neighborhood.

12 News was the only station to capture video of a man believed to be the suspect, although police have not confirmed it is the same man. The man was in handcuffs with his hands wrapped in paper bags and secured with evidence tape.

A police spokesman said two guns were found near where police arrested the suspect, who has not been identified.

Another male was also detained, police said Thursday night.

Schools in the area were briefly placed on lockdown while police searched the neighborhood. That lockdown was lifted after about an hour, police said.

Police have not identified either of the detained males or the victims.
