It's important to stay hydrated, especially during the rough Arizona summers.

St. Mary's Food Bank and Phoenix Rescue Mission are just two organizations in the Valley that are in desperate need of water donations.

Phoenix Rescue Mission needs close to 1 million donated water bottles by August 31 in order to continue its Code: Red campaign.

The campaign goes around to neighborhoods, handing out water and other items to people in need.

This is the fifth year that the mission has conducted this campaign.

St. Mary's Food Bank is also asking for bottled water donations to help the nonprofit's water campaign last through the next few week, let alone the summer.

Starting Thursday, all 70 Valley Goodwill locations will be open for water drop-offs and you can also donate nonperishable foods as well.

St. Mary's asks that the cases of water come in full or partial cases in 16-ounce plastic bottles.
