Hunting, fishing, camping, hiking, whatever it is you’re into, if it’s outside you’ll want to be at the Arizona Get Outdoors Expo at WestWorld of Scottsdale this weekend.
We got a preview of the event Friday.
John Kenny showed us some boats he brought on behalf of his company Complete Marine, located in Phoenix.
“This is a Bayliner VR 5. It’s one of the new series Bayliner has developed." Kenny said. "They make it very wide in the front, which gives you as much room as a deck boat, yet you still retain a deep V for a good ride.”
He told us the boats can be surprisingly affordable at the expo, even as low as $30,000 for a luxurious boat. You can learn more about their boats on the Complete Marine website.
When you go to the show, you can’t miss the Paul Bunyan Lumberack Show.
“There’s going to be be chopping, sawing, logrolling, ax throwing, dragster chainsaws," said Lee Lecaptain of the Paul Bunyan Lumberjack Show.
They don’t let guests play with the dangerous equipment but emcee Mike Russell said your kids will find tons to do and you won’t have to entertain them in the heat this weekend.
"We brought it all indoors here at the WestWorld of Scottsdale," he said. "We have Arizona Game and Fish here teaching kids how to fish and archery tag, and we have it all for everyone."
You can also test your climbing skills on a rock wall and try both traditional and 3D archery!
When you’re done playing, you can get discounts on gear.
“There’s stuff for $5 all the way up to $150,000, and all the way in between,” Russell said.
Doors open at 10 a.m. Saturday and 11 a.m. Sunday. Tickets are $8 and you can buy them on the expo's website.
