ST. PAUL, Minn. - A suspect has been charged in the strong-armed robbery of a woman after police say he contacted her on social media to buy a watch.

And get this... the alleged perpetrator is only 13-years-old.

A police report says the boy arranged to meet the 35-year-old victim in the parking lot of the Rice Street Library after contacting her on Facebook Marketplace, but when she arrived around 5:30 p.m. Tuesday the suspect attacked her, punching and kicking the woman until he grabbed her watch and ran off.

What he didn't think of was that the victim had his Facebook account with the teen's name and a number of pictures of him. Police went to a known home on the 100 block of Maryland Avenue west, where the boy was found hiding.

He was taken into custody and booked into a juvenile facility on charges of felony aggravated robbery.

The St. Paul Pioneer Press says the 13-year-old is also suspected of robbing another woman in the same parking lot on Sunday, after arranging to meet her there to buy an iPhone.
