Donut shops all over the country are celebrating National Donut Day Friday, and they want you to join them.

In fact, they want your company so badly that some are giving away those sweet, delicious dough circles (or dots in the case of filled donuts) for free.

This is where you can take full advantage of the celebration:

Rainbow Donuts is offering a free donut with the purchase of any other breakfast or beverage.

You can also get a free glazed donut at Donut Parlor in Tempe, or a free donut with a hole at Lamar's (but you'll need a golden ticket).

Fractured Prune is offering a free OC Sand (honey glaze and cinnamon sugar) donut at participating stores.

Lamar's and Rollover Donuts (inside Short Leash Hot Dogs) are both partnering with the Salvation Army to help others Friday. Lamar's is asking for donations to work against child hunger and Rollover is asking for water donations at its Biltmore and Roosevelt locations.

We're not sure what to expect from Welcome Chicken + Donuts, but it does look like they may have something up their sleeves.

The big national chains are also getting in on the day -- Dunkin' is offering a free classic donut with a beverage purchase and Krispy Kreme is offering donuts. For free. With no apparent restrictions.
