It's the sweet smile trending on social media, a 1-year old stealing the hearts of so many. This is after being selected as the first Gerber baby with down syndrome.

Lucas Warren, a 1-year-old from Dalton, Georgia has been named the 2018 Gerber baby.

His parents told "Today" Lucas is a playful and lovable little boy. Courtney Warren said she entered her son, Luke into the company contest that's been boasting babies since 2010!

Of more than 140,000 entries, this toddler took the cake. The CEO and President of Gerber said his smile and happy expression captured the hearts of the Gerber team.

He added that this baby best exemplifies Gerber's longstanding heritage of recognizing that every baby is a Gerber baby.

We spoke to local Down syndrome advocates about what this means to their mission.

“His mother or parents said he is always smiling and has made friends with everyone and that's very inclusive of my son and other individuals with Down syndrome. It's a great representation Lucas has, with a big smile on his face,” Chris Bowden with DS Network AZ said.

“I think as Lucas grows older, he will be able to cherish this as a memory that world accepted him for who he was,” Rebecca Frederick-Jilg with the organization said.

Meanwhile, his mom said, "He may have down syndrome, but he's always Lucas first."

We can all agree the darling little boy is clearly full of personality, a playful heart, and like all babies, he puts his pampers on one leg at a time.
