Tresa began her reporting career just two hours north in Flagstaff, Ariz. working as a sideline reporter for NAU-TV. Tresa covered Northern Arizona University’s football, basketball, soccer, and volleyball teams. Previous to her on-air work, she worked behind the scenes, learning multiple roles on the production side for NAU-TV.
Tresa is a double alumna from Northern Arizona University. She completed her B.S. in Journalism in three years, graduating Summa Cum Laude, as a first-generation college student, at 20 years old. She then studied abroad for six months in the Netherlands at Tilburg University before returning back to NAU to complete her M.A. in Communication, at 23.
Tresa grew up in Southern California, where her mother was the most vocal one on the football field and her father surfed three times a week. She spent five years living in Flagstaff and Tresa feels extremely blessed to be working in the Valley, telling the stories of her community every day. 12 News has made Tresa feel right at home.
