Brandon Hamilton

Brandon Hamilton is an anchor and reporter for 12 News.

Before jumping into the news business, Brandon worked on Hollywood movie sets in Los Angeles. From working as an extra to landing small roles, it was the creative process that sparked his career. 

Brandon graduated from Northern Kentucky University with a degree in Broadcast Journalism. 

In 2008, Brandon landed his first job at WLWT in his hometown of Cincinnati, Ohio. As a traffic anchor and special assignment reporter, Brandon was able to get an early start on molding his craft of storytelling and connecting to audiences.  A shining moment was creating a successful series called, "Road Scholar" which hit the road and featured stories from the history of the Tri-State. 

In 2011, Brandon moved to the Valley of the Sun.  At KNXV/ABC15, Brandon took on multiple roles: traffic anchor, multi-media journalist, host & weekend sports anchor.  From his interactions with celebrities and amazing people in the community, Brandon gained a reputation of being a distinctive interviewer.  

Brandon then moved to Dallas, Texas, in 2015 joining WFAA as a reporter and fill-in anchor. 

Outside of TV, the creativity is still at work. Brandon enjoys photography and capturing adventurous explorations. The self-proclaimed history buff loves digging deep into the history books and exploring historic locations. Brandon is also passionate about historic preservation.  

You'll find Brandon and his wife out hiking or exploring the great state of Arizona almost every weekend.
